The upcoming new-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto V may offer up some interesting new features for gamers. A recent post on the official Rockstar Support site stated that the editions coming out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC will present first-person cameras. Since gamers took notice of the post, Rockstar has taken down the page leaving those who saw it as a prematurely published announcement. Fortunately, Google has cached a version of the page, giving those who missed the post a sneak peek of what features the new versions of GTA 5 will possibly offer. Here are a few of those possibly coming out for the new editions.
Probable First-Person Camera Views
When the post was released, Rockstar stated that players will be able to use a first-person view feature inside vehicles and on foot. The view will provide players with “working dash lights, speedometers, tachometers, a unique interior view, and more.” This would mean that Rockstar has created individual cockpits for the varying vehicles in the game. The only thing that would make the alleged feature even more exciting would be a smooth transition from the on-foot to the in-car first-person view.
Exclusive In-Game Content
Gamers who upgrade from the PS3 or Xbox 360 editions of GTA 5 will be provided with exclusive in-game content. Some of these include: shooting rage challenges, classic vehicles, additional wildlife to go with the wildlife photography, new weapons, denser traffic, enhanced damage and weather effects, and a new foliage system. There will also be new Easter eggs and random events during Story Mode and a much needed character selection screen upgrade. Rockstar has also upgraded the radio stations and added over 100 new tracks and DJ mixes.
GTA Online Specials
Along with the first-person view feature, Rockstar also stated in the post that players will be able to unlock a free garage and free new weapons in GTA Online. However, the rewards can only be unlocked if the GTA Online character is imported from the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions. The good real benefit of importing a character over to the new editions are the extensive array of new jobs, new properties, new vehicles, an arsenal of new weapons, and a more personalized player customization.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is confirmed and set to hit stores on November 18th for the consoles PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version is set to be released on January 27, 2015. Players who pre-order the new editions will get an exclusive an in-game bonus cash of $1,000,000 to spend during Story Mode or on GTA Online.
