Abusing GTA 5’s Stock Market for Unlimited Profit

Published on November 11, 2013

Grand Theft Auto 5, or GTA 5, has exceeded the success of Rockstar Games’ previous entries by a while. Part of this success comes from the game’s open-world exploits, such as its stock market systems. This article will show how to best manipulate the LCN market.

While both stock markets can be modified, the way that they change is completely different. While the LCN is directly affected by offline gameplay, BAWSAQ stocks are governed by online gameplay.

Between both markets, the LCN is a much more stable market to influence. If you know what you’re doing, you can cause stocks to rise or fall from the chaos you unleash in Los Santos.

An Example of Making an Example

If you want to drive Clucking Bell into a financial descent the likes of which haven’t been seen since the Great Depression, all you need to do is harass Clucking Bell locations throughout Los Santos and Blaine County.

By gunning down customers, robbing cashiers, and/or breaking out explosive ordinance such as rocket launchers and mini-guns throughout and within Clucking Bell restaurant locations, it stocks will drop as a result of faith lost in the company. It should be noted that multiple raids may be required before the premium gains can be had.

Stocks Plummet Like Bodies, Now What?

Once a given company’s stocks have greatly diminished, it’s in a prime position to be bought up. Like any stock market, the best advice is to buy low and sell high. However, you should remain vigilant in your stocks and make sure that Clucking Bell has risen again. The best way to do this? Unleash all-out mayhem on the company’s rival, TacoBomb.

Once you’ve obliterated the stocks of your given company’s rival, the stocks you bought should now raise, due to each company only having one rival. Below is a list of some companies and their rivals.
